Natural Skin Care Products: Take care of your Aging Skin

Taking care of our skin is an important part of our overall health. Aging makes our skin sag and wrinkle, but it can also make it less resistant to external factors such as UV radiation and pollution.

UV radiation is one of the biggest causes of premature aging. Not only can it cause hyperpigmentation, but it can lead to premature wrinkling, dryness, and even skin cancer. In fact, one of the most important parts of aging skin care is learning how to avoid and fight the common problems caused by excessive UV radiation.

Tip One - Moderate Sunbathing

UV exposure produces free radicals that will destroy healthy skin cells. In order to avoid this, you need to moderate the time you spend in the sun. Even though you may think that a tan gives your skin a healthy glow, it is considered sun damage.

If you want to have that sun-kissed look, then it would be wise if you used a self tanning lotion instead. Remember that sun damage is cumulative. Young skin withstands damage better, however, in a couple of years you’ll have wished you didn’t spend so much time out in the sun.

Tip Two - SPF your Skin

Don’t go outdoors unless you are wearing sunscreen. You’ll simply need to choose a sunscreen that has SPF30 or higher. Once you’ve put on the sunscreen, reapply often to maintain the product’s protection level.

Whether you decide to surround yourself with natural skin care products instead of traditional products, make sure that you always use a traditional sunscreen. Natural products can be used as a complement to a good sunscreen, but they can never replace it.

Protective clothing can also be used to shield your skin from the sun. This is done by using wide-brimmed hats and long sleeved shirts that are made in a light weight fabric. And don’t forget to use sunglasses to protect your eyes for UV radiation as well.

Tip Three -Antioxidants Rule

Antioxidant skin care is a good idea for any anti aging routine. UV radiation produces free radicals, and antioxidants can help neutralize their effect. You can get a good amount of antioxidants by eating certain foods and by applying antioxidant skin creams.

Some foods high in antioxidants include fruits, vegetables and grains. Don’t just pick your favorite produce. Try a wide variety of colors to make your diet more exciting.

Berries are the best kinds of fruits. Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are high in antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and fiber.

In fact, these fruits are a very common addition to a number of skin care products. Sometimes they are accompanied by other amazing ingredients such as Vitamin E and Vitamin C and antioxidant serums.

A great complement to your traditional sunscreen lotion is BIOBEAUTYBALM because it contains ingredients that absorb the damaging UV rays. It is also a healing balm for aging and sun damaged skin. BIOBEAUTYBALM is a great antioxidant cream capable of treating all skin types gentle and effectively.

Wrinkle Free in 2 Steps:

In the News:

Barbara Walters News Special: On 60 Minutes, Dr. Christoph Wesphal explains that Resveratrol is a naturally occurring component of red wine that can apparently extend human life.

WebMD: Resveratrol may prolong life and fight age-related diseases.

Resveratrol is one of a group of antioxidant compounds called polyphenols found in red wine that has been reported to have anti-inflammatory as well as anticancer properties.

Resveratrol may counter type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, a new study shows.

CNN: At high doses, resveratrol appears to prolong life spans and improve health in mice. Human trials are under way.

This research, funded in part by the National Institute on Aging, was published in the journals Nature and Call in November, and bottles of resveratrol have been flying off the shelves since. Dr. Brent Bauer, director of the Department of Internal Medicine's Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at Mayo Clinic says "This may be the best thing since sliced bread for human beings, but we just don't know yet."

Fox News: For years, red wine has been linked to numerous health benefits. But the new study, published online in the journal Nature on Thursday, shows that mammals given ultrahigh doses of resveratrol can get the good effects of cutting calories without actually doing it.

"If we're right about this, it would mean you could have the benefit of restricting calories without having to feel hungry," Sinclair said. "It's the Holy Grail of aging research."
