Moisturizing every Type of Skin

A daily skin care routine is the best way to keep your skin radiant and healthy. Although every step is important, there are several people that have oily or combination and that feel it unnecessary to moisturize. Nevertheless, this is a grave mistake because moisturizing is actually what helps keep your skin hydrated, supple, and strong.

Everyone, no matter what their skin type, needs to moisturize on a daily basis. Moisture refers to the water content in your skin and not the lipid content, therefore, even oily skin can suffer from dryness.

Fortunately, there are products for every skin type whether you are moisturizing dry skin, oily skin, or combination skin.

Moisturizing Combination Skin is Easy

Combination skin is made up of a mix of dry skin and oily skin, which means that it requires products that are specially designed for it. Another viable option is to use a product fit for one skin type. For example, if you have more dry patches on your skin you should use a product for oily skin; however, if you have more oily patches then it’s best to use a product used to treat oily skin.

Moisturizing Oily Skin - Use Light Products

Stay away from oil-based products if you have oily skin. Instead they should try using water-based formulas. These products are light and absorb quickly without leaving behind pore clogging residue.

As with dry skin, it is also a good idea to apply your moisturizer before your skin is completely dry. Don’t forget that skin dryness has to do with a lack of moisture not a lack of oil.

Moisturizing Dry Skin

Although dry skin products are a dime a dozen, it isn’t always easy to find the product you need. First of all you need to determine whether you have regular dry skin or very dry skin. This will help determine the type of product you need.

If you just have dry skin, you will need to use a creamy moisturizer after you cleanse. As part of your basic routine you will need to moisturize at least twice a day. If you feel that your skin becomes taut during the day, do not hesitate to reapply as needed.

If your skin still feels taut even after having used a creamy moisturizer, it may be time for you to use oil. You can choose to use a mineral oil, body oil, or a non-comedogenic edible oil like olive oil. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen if you are going to be outdoors.

Oil will absorb more quickly than creams. This is the reason that they are more effective for people with very dry skin. In fact, because they contain few additives, they can also be used on people with dry, sensitive skin.

BIOSKINBALM is an excellent skin care product that contains snail serum and provides a soothing sensation for dry skin care and overall dry skin relief. These ingredients are also what make BIOSKINBALM a perfect cream for all skin types.

Wrinkle Free in 2 Steps:

In the News:

Barbara Walters News Special: On 60 Minutes, Dr. Christoph Wesphal explains that Resveratrol is a naturally occurring component of red wine that can apparently extend human life.

WebMD: Resveratrol may prolong life and fight age-related diseases.

Resveratrol is one of a group of antioxidant compounds called polyphenols found in red wine that has been reported to have anti-inflammatory as well as anticancer properties.

Resveratrol may counter type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, a new study shows.

CNN: At high doses, resveratrol appears to prolong life spans and improve health in mice. Human trials are under way.

This research, funded in part by the National Institute on Aging, was published in the journals Nature and Call in November, and bottles of resveratrol have been flying off the shelves since. Dr. Brent Bauer, director of the Department of Internal Medicine's Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at Mayo Clinic says "This may be the best thing since sliced bread for human beings, but we just don't know yet."

Fox News: For years, red wine has been linked to numerous health benefits. But the new study, published online in the journal Nature on Thursday, shows that mammals given ultrahigh doses of resveratrol can get the good effects of cutting calories without actually doing it.

"If we're right about this, it would mean you could have the benefit of restricting calories without having to feel hungry," Sinclair said. "It's the Holy Grail of aging research."
