How to Treat Acne with Natural Skin Care Products

If you’ve hit puberty, then you’ve got acne. Hormone levels spike and this means an increase in sebum production. Acne tends to follow because the excess sebum, dirt and dead skin cells mix together to clog pores.

Since acne is so common, there are a great deal of products available. But, have you thought about taking the natural approach? Natural acne treatment is a great alternative to traditional treatments because they not only help you deal with acne problems but they also reduce your chances of suffering from unwanted side effects.

Here’s a look at some natural skin care products and recipes that you can try out. Keep in mind that this type of treatment will take a bit longer to take effective. Just be patient.

Homemade Acne Cream

In a mixing bowl add one half a cup of baking soda and one half of water and mix well. Add more baking soda if the mixture is runny or add more water if it is too thick. After having completed this step, grate one half of a cucumber and add it to the mixture.

In a separate bowl, mash up two apple slices until they become a paste. Add this apple paste to the baking soda mixture and mix well before adding 1 tablespoon of honey.

Place the mixture in the refrigerator for an hour. After this time, take the bowl out and begin rubbing the mixture on your face. Let the mixture sit on your skin for five minutes before washing it off with warm water and a wet washcloth.

Tea Tree Oil for Acne Treatment

Tea tree oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It has proven itself very effective against acne mainly because it contains bacteria-fighting substances called “terpenes”. Acne is oftentimes caused by certain bacteria that can be destroyed or weakened using terpenes.

Tea tree oil has very little side effects. However, it can irritate sensitive skin, so proceed with caution.

Treating Acne with Aloe Vera

The watery gel obtained from this succulent is effective against acne. It is rich in enzymes and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. If you’d like, you can ingest aloe vera so that it cleanses your skin from the inside-out.

Honey Kills off Acne Bacteria

Honey has been used as an anti-bacterial product and acne treatment for centuries. This occurs because honey has a low water content and acidic pH level. These two factors combined create a poor environment for the proliferation of bacteria.

This is great news for acne sufferers. As mentioned before, acne is normally caused by bacteria. By applying honey masks, you can help eliminate these bacteria.

Don’t forget that an acne treatment is essential to skin health. Not only is acne an aesthetic problem, it can also lead to acne scarring if it is untreated or under-treated.

BIOSKINFORTE is a natural acne treatment that is not only effective as an adult acne cream, but is also highly effective against stubborn acne. BIOSKINFORTE contains a perfect balance of potent natural ingredients. The main ingredient being snail serum, which can also help treat acne scars.

Wrinkle Free in 2 Steps:

In the News:

Barbara Walters News Special: On 60 Minutes, Dr. Christoph Wesphal explains that Resveratrol is a naturally occurring component of red wine that can apparently extend human life.

WebMD: Resveratrol may prolong life and fight age-related diseases.

Resveratrol is one of a group of antioxidant compounds called polyphenols found in red wine that has been reported to have anti-inflammatory as well as anticancer properties.

Resveratrol may counter type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, a new study shows.

CNN: At high doses, resveratrol appears to prolong life spans and improve health in mice. Human trials are under way.

This research, funded in part by the National Institute on Aging, was published in the journals Nature and Call in November, and bottles of resveratrol have been flying off the shelves since. Dr. Brent Bauer, director of the Department of Internal Medicine's Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at Mayo Clinic says "This may be the best thing since sliced bread for human beings, but we just don't know yet."

Fox News: For years, red wine has been linked to numerous health benefits. But the new study, published online in the journal Nature on Thursday, shows that mammals given ultrahigh doses of resveratrol can get the good effects of cutting calories without actually doing it.

"If we're right about this, it would mean you could have the benefit of restricting calories without having to feel hungry," Sinclair said. "It's the Holy Grail of aging research."
