Egg on your face: the best antiaging creams

The best antiaging creams are hard to come by, and even harder to come by is the truth in terms of what the best antiaging creams can do for your skin and what they can do to slow or stop the process of aging. The best way to combat aging is to learn about aging and the process of aging and discover what can be done to control it and help your skin look and feel its best. Consult your dermatologist for a full set of advice and techniques.

The Skin: Friend or Foe?

The skin is a complex biological organism that just happens to be the largest organism in the human body. Over 70% of the skin is comprised of water, making lubrication one of the most important factors to good skin health. As we age, we start to lose the water in our skin as the blood circulates in different and slower ways. This causes our skin to become thin and frail, creating wrinkles, bruising, and discolorations. Avoiding skin damage is important, especially in the elderly.

Ultraviolet rays are often the most accused culprits of skin damage that we know of. We all know that exposing the skin to the harmful UV rays of the sun can do incredible damage to our skin if we are not protected. Sunscreens, according to most dermatologists and skin care experts, do not provide adequate protection from the sun’s harmful rays. The only way to prevent skin damage from the sun is to stay out of direct sunlight and UV rays altogether. Sun damage is irreversible.

Skin Creams

The best antiaging creams are, obviously, only half the battle in terms of good skin health but they do help. A good skin cream will always include a wide variety of natural vitamins and ingredients like vitamin K, E, A, and biotoxins to assist with the skin’s natural processes. Keeping the skin lubricated and protected is also an important part of good skin care practices. It is also important to avoid harsh products like acids or detergents that do more harm to the skin than good.

The best antiaging creams usually don’t make outlandish promises but rather offer a comprehensive plan for healing your skin and keeping it healthy. Healthy skin is the best antiaging measure any of us can take and miracle cures, drugs, or serums are generally as unhealthy for the body as a crash diet or other “quick fixes”.

Wrinkle Free in 2 Steps:

In the News:

Barbara Walters News Special: On 60 Minutes, Dr. Christoph Wesphal explains that Resveratrol is a naturally occurring component of red wine that can apparently extend human life.

WebMD: Resveratrol may prolong life and fight age-related diseases.

Resveratrol is one of a group of antioxidant compounds called polyphenols found in red wine that has been reported to have anti-inflammatory as well as anticancer properties.

Resveratrol may counter type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, a new study shows.

CNN: At high doses, resveratrol appears to prolong life spans and improve health in mice. Human trials are under way.

This research, funded in part by the National Institute on Aging, was published in the journals Nature and Call in November, and bottles of resveratrol have been flying off the shelves since. Dr. Brent Bauer, director of the Department of Internal Medicine's Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at Mayo Clinic says "This may be the best thing since sliced bread for human beings, but we just don't know yet."

Fox News: For years, red wine has been linked to numerous health benefits. But the new study, published online in the journal Nature on Thursday, shows that mammals given ultrahigh doses of resveratrol can get the good effects of cutting calories without actually doing it.

"If we're right about this, it would mean you could have the benefit of restricting calories without having to feel hungry," Sinclair said. "It's the Holy Grail of aging research."
